I don't know if they fit, I've not gotten to worrying about it yet.

But as they are pads, you can fit them, you can fit any road legal pad. Brakes, disc etc are consumables so outside of warranty claims anyway.

It maybe imbalanced a little, bearing in mind the drums on the rear can't really be upgraded.

So it should not void your warranty on brake lines, steering etc, i.e. related areas.

At 20 quid, it's not the end of the world to try them out. But knowing they're outwith the warranty claims, then that's good news. Thank you!

You can't go into your dealer today and ask to replace the pads under warranty... once they are caked up a bit no-one will really know or care.

Once thing I don't know though is... and car still under snow, if the citigo's have wear sensors. If they do these pads need them too, or you'll have a fault light. Off to find manual.

In that case, does anyone know if the Citigo's brake pads have wear sensors? :D

It doesn't even have a tps :P

What does the handbook say? Is there a warning light on the dash for brakes?

Brake system 

The warning light  lights up when the brake fluid level is too low or there is a fault in the ABS. £

if the warning light flashes  and an audible signal sounds three times, stop and check the brake fluid level ⇒  .

If there is a fault in the ABS which also influences the function of the normal brake system (e.g. distribution of brake pressure), the ABS warning light  comes on together with the brake system warning light .

Visit a specialist garage immediately and adjust your style of driving accordingly as you will not know how great the damage is nor the limitation it is placing on the braking efficiency.

I'm just looking up the parts no to see if / what we could do them at :)

Can't source brembo pads.

Can't source brembo pads.

Ebay says they fit, which isn't the most valuable source, but I'll try. If they don't, pop the old brakes back on and I've wasted 20 quid. Just thought it's an experiment.

Bosch pads (BOSCH BRAKE PADS 0986424364) FYI, would be around £30 delivered. I don't know the effective stopping difference between OEM, and the brembo aftermarket v bosch after market. If I were to bet, I'd say the ebay/bosch ones are similar to your oem ones.

I'd hazard a guess it's about the same. Until you go for known compound upgrades, but a quick dig is limited. some ebc green and yellows, but 49 to 60+vat del...

HTH.

They should fit. Ebay uses a part key system, the call it master vehicle list, others call it 'k-part'. So each model has a 'k' number and each part has a k part compatible list. So in theory, parts listed on ebay should fit the master list. I can't source bremo, but the system I can gives me that pic for the pad.

Also worth noting how many miles you've done. pads wear discs, so any uneven wear on disc/pad, introduce new pad, you may end up with less braking friction and or higher wear. Easy to sense, drag finger nail up disc surface. If smooth then probably ok. If ridged, less so...

i think sticking with the Skoda parts provides superior back up with any issues which could occur which could be deemed consequential to non standard parts being used.

and i would like to speak to the insurance company to get their clarity as saying you have brembo brakes will only lift the premium

You'd be amazed at how my premium wasn't lifted - not with just a pad. It's not sports brakes, or a full braking system. Just a pad.
