octavia 4x4 specs

Featured Replies

hi people looking at buying an '02 octy 4x4 1.8t does anyone know where i can get some specs from.

Also, am i right in thinking that it has the 20valve turbo engine?

Yep 150bhp version of the 1.8 20v Turbo4x4 is the same spec as the elegance + 4x4 (ESP, No false boot floor, Bigger Fuel Tank, 4x4 gear **** other than that no difference)

me potential as the vRS tuning wise too ;)

cheers for the offer but i'm looking at buying my g/f's dads, out of interest though what age is it and how much you looking for?

It was first registered 10/10/2002, it has just had its 2nd variable service and covered just over 34,000 miles. It has been remapped giving 215bhp.

Looking at the market, I'd be happy with 7,250, but I think that is going to be difficult

I just bought a 4x4 yesterday, I was interested to see in the spec sheet that it has a longer wheelbase, wider track, bigger fuel tank and sump guard, which I didnt know. And also the suspension is jacked up on stilts. Anyone for rallying?

EDIT: its a damn plastic guard, great!

longer wheelbase and wider track? I didnt know that! :)

look in the specifications manual on the diagram in it, you can see the dimensions are labelled differently for the 4x4 and some are different for the rs. Its a rally special homologation you know....

your spec is wrong mate, it doesn't have a sup guard as standard and pretty sure the wheel base and track is the same as a normal one

time to go and measure boys and girls :)

thinking about it you sure you weren't looking at the specs for a land rover??

the two are easily mistakableafter all :)

longer wheelbase and wider track? I didnt know that! :)

sure does... standard octy wheelbase is: 2512mm octy 4x4 is 2520mm

standard octy track is 1513mm octy 4x4 is 1516

So its: |____ | Longer!

And: |__ | Wider!

Don't think its much to worry about!

haha! could be a landrover! well I will go have a look at the manual again tonight, but thats what the diagram says for the dimensions.

I guess the extra sump guard means my car has been owned by a farmer then! doh!

Nope, mine has a sump guard as does my mates; Dr Octavia.

The different track and wheelbase is news though; good find. :)

No sump guard here.

is the raised suspension standard?

Yep. :(

No Sump Guard Here Either

I Thought the track etc was the same but happy to be proved wrong if its in Skodas blurb

Just checked ours... no sump guard

No Sump Guard Here Either

Its only superior to standard by millimetres due to the different suspension set up at the rear of the octy 4x4 over the standard one.

good point, 'proper' suspension all round :)

Its on different by millimetres due to the different suspension set up at the rear of the octy 4x4 over the standard one.

For different read "Superior" :):):)

For different read "Superior" :) :) :)
