Hi

 

New to this but i have an ongoing problem which my garage cannot find.

Today about 5 degrees started ok left house got about 1 mile down road and you feel engine slighty jurking at low revs 1800 below.

got to roundabout and stopped, pulled away put into 2rd gear and car very lumpy and stalled, restarted and could only drive in 1st gear then loads of black smoke for 1 mile pulled over and left on tickover for 5mins car would not rev above 2500.

started journey again ok but still lumpy at low revs only slightly. I have 3 good days and 3 bad days every week.

 

Can anyone please give me any solutions.

I would say blocked air intake, or pipe off the intercooler

 

basically black smoke is not enough air for the fuel
