Felicia clutch pedal 'assist' spring

Featured Replies

The spring on the clutch pedal, referred to in the Haynes manual, as the assist spring, has broken which means the clutch pedal comes higher up than it should.  The clutch still works ok but have to lift foot higher to use it.   So I am after a new one - it is about 3 inches long with a hook at either end. Anyone know where I could get a replacement - is it a standard spring that a hardware shop would sell or sp,ething specific to Skoda/AVG.

Part number: 6U0721450 but I can't see that being too much use as it is a felicia specific number, and dealers don't have that many felicia parts now.(worth a try mabey)

Might just be best trying to source one from a scrap car.

Hardware shop isn't too bad an idea, but you would probably be lucky to find one with the same strengh/tension.
