condensation water leakage in left footwells(Passanger side)

Hi Experts,

Excuse me if i am asking a very common question. I did a bit root cause analysis before posting my query here. I own Fabia Ambition 1.2 TDI (Indian version) and i am facing the water leakage problem from day 1 of the vehicle delivery from the dealer. I could not identify that it is a problem with car because i thought some water is leaked from my drinking water bottle which was under the front Passenger seat. Warranty is over now and the car is 2 year old.

Now i have identified that this water leakage due to the car AC/heater. it happens only when i switch on AC and heater together while running the engine. The foot-well of the co-driver seat is filled with condensed water coming out from the RED circle marked in the attached picture taken from my phone. Usually the water is visible in the foot well after 2-3 hour drive which happen very rare in my usual driving.

Can you please suggest what may be the issue here and how can i stop this water leakage to avoid the damp floor and foul smell in the car.

Thanks in Advance

Thanks for the reply AaronMountford1990,

warranty is over now (it is 2 years ols car) as i did not acted on time and water is visible only when i go on long drives. on short drive it keeps soaking in the carpet foam and dry when the car is not in function.

I have uploaded the pics in my last post. please see and suggest something.

Thanks

Ok,

Do any of you know what is under this black compartment?

do we have any existing guides to check the drain from the evaporator?

Thanks

On a Mk1 Fabia, the evaporator drain outlet is under a 'bump' in the sound insulation at the back of the engine bay, just to the side of where the heater matrix pipes go through into the cabin.

See pictures here

Looking at your pictures, it seems like you are opposite that point, on the inside of the firewall. Maybe see if you can expose the drain pipe on your car and see if it is blocked? Apparently, it has been known for creatures to set up home there, and block the pipe.
