Still new to detailing.

It seems snow foam is pretty much always the first step in cleaning the car, I don't have access to anything like that but do have a few spray bottles like this...

Does anyone mix things a product with water and spray on with something similar?

Could use some citrus pre wash in that, I don't tend to snow foam as I've found it does very little for me, maybe I just mix it wrongly.

I find one of these useful for adding some weak QD onto a `just rinsed` car as a drying aid.

Yes power maxed TFR diluted 1:10

Does tfr not burn paint if left?

Thanks for other posts also.

Always dilute it and wash off after a few minutes

As Chris says dilute it to at least 10:1 and rinse after 5 mins. It'll save you having to fork out 40 notes for a snowfoam lance if you get the powermax tfr (snowfoam is not very good if you don't have one). It looks a good option for those who don't have a proper SF lance especially with the 25% off.

Not a fan of it, never have been really!

Any other products worth mixing and spraying on?

Only other type I know of if you're spraying is citrus prewash mate. Here it is on Amazon, but it's available elsewhere too.

Not that impressed with VP Citrus Pre Wash. Going to compare it to the PM TFR this weekend.

I've used it a couple of times when my car was quite dirty as a stage prior to snowfoam and the 2 did a better job than just using SF alone. I only mentioned it as the OP said he didn't like tfr and as it can be applied with a garden sprayer its an easier, cheaper and more flexible option than the snowfoam lance and jetwash route which is also true of the pm trf.

I use a bottle like that for applying tardis as gives a good even spread compared to many traditional spray bottles with a hand trigger.

It sounds exactly what I need to be honest!

I've seen a few posts about auto finesse citrus power, sounds exactly like the type of stuff I'm looking for really.

Possibly buy a 5l bottle and mix it 50/50 and spray the full car?

Hi Hutch,

If you want to find out about pretty much anything detailing related my home forum is www.detailingworld.co.uk will be able to help.

with regards to the 50/50 question. Yes you can easily do that maybe not too often though ;)

Why not do it very often?

Why not do it very often?

I believe he may be suggesting that frequent use of AF Citrus will affect your LSP

TBH...If you dilute it carefully it will be fine...But its very expensive..There are cheaper alternatives out there..as described above

As silly as it might sound, I need to use products I trust, would you trust "Valet PRO Citrus Pre Wash" ?

I'm not saying it isn't very good, just I need trust, so stick to names I know, autoglym And auto finesse happen to be them :D

Yes, I do trust it.

Valet Pro are a big company and are stocked in most detailing shops.

I feel that if you purely stick to one or two brands you may miss out on using a lot of good products from other manufacturers.

I do indeed trust Valet Pro Citrus pre Wash and would recommend it to anyone!!

Its marvellous stuff..very effective and smells great..Also much cheaper than AF Citrus

Ive been using it extensively over the last couple of years on many vehicles..not just my own

Their pH Neutral Snow Foam is brilliant too..as are many of their other products

It was the cost more then anything else tbh, you can find cheaper and more effective products. however i know exactly what you mean with trusting certain brands and just being happy with them. for me its Autoglym, dodo Juice, Gtechniq and Swissvax

If you guys trust it, it's fine by me, I was just worried about damaging paint or something.

It won't be getting used every time I wash my car, more just before I clay the car to get off abit extra dirt and grime.

Its very good..You wont be disappointed. Its great to use this time of year to get rid of salt!

Always dilute it to the recommended rate..However, if youre using it prior to a Detox/Clay, then harsher dilution is ok

It certainly wont damage your paint

Good luck

can only really echo the above, in that you will be fine. snow foam can be over rated its just quicker sometimes but not always as effective imo.
