powermaxed tfr vs snow foam

Featured Replies

Hi i have been hearing alot about this powermaxed tfr and how great it is, i was just wondering is it used the same way as you would a snow foam through a lance. I have been using magifoam which i like using and find it works well but as you know the foam is messy as hell. If anyone has tried would like to hear about it as i may purchase the powermaxed tfr.
Thanks

Yes it is used the same, I've not used it so can't comment on how good it is.

I've not used the powermax, but tfr can strip your lsp off if you use the wrong type (I.e. not ph neutral) or its used in too high a concentration. As far as the magifoam is concerned have you tried using a weaker solution in the lance (assuming your putting 1" in tne bottom then topping the bottle up?) I got some carchem snowfoam in their sale and that disperses much better if you want to stick with snowfoam but try something else. No doubt there are others you can try that don't stay on your drive for so long that others will recommend or you could try citrus pre wash which is non foaming if you want to get away from foam altogether.

Hi, yer that is the amount I use it have also heard that the powermaxed tfr is lsp safe that's why I thought I should try it but before I do maybe get second opinions

If it checks out that it is lsp safe you should be ok providing you get the dilution correct and follow the instructions regarding how long you let it dwell before washing it off. As with a lot of cleaning stuff its very often just down to personal preferences and there are always a number of ways to skin the cat! I have some clarkes tfr which I've had for years, but only use it under my wheel arches to get the worst of the crud off, but that's quite powerful stuff. Good luck.

I only use Powermax TFR now. Snowfoam is just hassle for me. I use a cheap pump sprayer to apply it. It's LSP safe at 1:10 dilution which is what I use. It's the best cleaner I've used so far. Knocks all other pre wash/snow foams out the park. If you don't like it you can get your money back.

Ive not used it but based on recommendations and reading about it ,at this price and free postage.... its worth a punt:

Directions for Use:

Simply spray over surface to be cleaned. Allow approximately a couple of minutes contact time for the traffic film remover to penetrate surface soiling then agitate with a sponge, then rinse off with water.

To complement Power Maxed Traffic Film Remover, use the Shampoo & Ultra Wax directly after to give your vehicle an outstanding finish and shine.

how do you use it please as the instructions they have on their website shown above (sorry for the format, but my tablet won't let me do it any other way when I copy things across) they say to 'agitate with a sponge' which is something I and probably most othets on here would never ever do, which then makes me wonder about the product itself.

cheers

The DW discount might be 30% then I've forgot.

I buy the concentrate. Mix it 1:10 in a pump sprayer. Spray the whole car. Leave for a 2-4 minutes then power wash off. Done.

It better be good now I've bought 10 litres of it!!

I'll blame you instead. Lol

I feel a product test post will be coming to a forum near here very soon.....shortly followed by a flurry in the 'items for sale' section LOL

I still have 15l of snowfoam to get through first.......

Yikes, with it being pH 13 I think i'll give this a miss :o

Not all for my car Carl

Used at the proper dilution of course.

Indeed! Back on topic…… I have used the Valet Pro citrus prewash diluted 1:10 in a sprayer. I'm not 100% happy with it, but then maybe I'm expecting too much (probably the same story for the Magifoam). If anything it smells nice!
