Just watched this video (apologies for the awful intro) on YouTube (shot in Brazil it seems)

The things I've noticed from it are:

 

1) No glass effect boot (0:09 seconds in)

2) Mirror side repeaters (appears to be on all models including standard?) (0:11 seconds in)

3) Bumper strips (I think you can get these, however these are only black strips, where as these appeared silver) (0:14 seconds in and 5:12 - 5:15 minutes in)

4) Likely another seat added making it a 5 seater (briefly at 2:59 - 3:00 minutes, 4:58 - 5:00 minutes and once more at 5:05 - 5:08 minutes, also watching it back a few times has given me more confidence that it does appear to be a 5 seater)

5) Probably irrelevant (you'll see what I mean at 5:12 minutes in) a lot don't appear to have aerials or aerial bases (perhaps a showroom thing?) and some don't have radio's fitted, just cases (again a showroom thing?)

6) Video was almost a year ago now (so why haven't VW UK implemented these?)

 

I'm mainly asking because I'd love to try and retrofit the mirrors (probably never happen because it would be exclusive to VW so Skoda wouldn't replace the parts in an insurance claim) also it'll be nice to see others view points on it

I watched the video but I wouldn't want the Up! I like my mat black dash. If I needed repeaters on my mirrors I'm sure they would be fitted. The Up is to fussy for me.

Agreed that it is fussy, but look at it from a practical point of view, some members have to sell there citigo to upgrade to 5 seats, but in the video I reckon the Up! has 5 seats

I only need 1 seat occasionally 2 but still wanted 5 doors lol.

I'm sure the Brazilian up is a larger car too, maybe that's why it had 5 seats??
