I've just got rid of my Focus (don't hold it against me) and I'm looking at getting an Octavia. I need a bigger car as I have 3 kids (1 in a car seat) I want a diesel preferably as petrol MPG seems to be low and I do 200 miles a week just to work and back.

 

Which variant do you lot suggest??

This largely depends on your budget. How much do you want to spend and what are your priorities performance vs economy and comfort over a more sporty ride?

I'm looking at around 8K, My priorities are it has to have cruise control, isofix, bluetooth and a big boot. My drive to work is mainly country roads and I enjoy the bends and upsetting people in expensive cars as you pass them coming into a corner.
