I'll get some photo's posted as soon as it's cleaned at the weekend.

 

Apart from the Engine.. It's the little things I'm looking forward to as our current car is 10 yrs old, technology, refinement, comfort

and the ability to have my whole music collection at my fingertips.

I've got 6 more nights to go. Worst thing is that I am excited like a little kid for xmas, yet SWMBO couldn't care less. It was only yesterday that I mentioned the pano roof that she realised we ordered that one as well. I have read about 80% of the manual (well the things that are important) and she barely knows what we bought. I think I'll get my 1 year old more excited about the car though..once he looks out of that pano roof :-D and maybe the sound generator.

 

TurismoM: have you got your checklist ready for the pickup?

Will the smile ever subside.

The Sport model is mental, the noise is incredible, performance is blistering.

I sold my Mk1 Vrs at the weekend, so now I'm slumming it in my wife's old R reg Toyota Starlet 1.4 until my new one arrives  :S

At least you'll appreciate the new one more!!

We took delivery of our TDI vRS sometime in October last year, and it is still growing on me. I am still trying to come up with excuses to be able to take the car out for a spin: family trip during weekends, go to the mall or grocery store even though you were there yesterday, whatever I can come up with :-). I'm starting to appreciate the diesel more and more; Good performance while still being frugal. Best features are the seats, electrical boot and rear view camera. Congrats to all new Octavia owners, I see there's a few threads about people taking delivery any day now. You've made a great choice and I hope get just as happy with yours as I am with mine.

I only do short stints to work so it's gonna take me a month or 2 to hit 1000 miles.

Have to invent some journeys.
