Pretty much but new cars have contaminents that need removing from travelling from the factory..David asked them not to touch it

I applied sealant rather than wax..that way David can use Sonax BSD Q Sealer to keep it refreshed until I redo it for him (Part of the deal)

Good to see some photos of the Metal Grey, it looks good, I've gone for the same colour in an estate, another 7 weeks still mine arrives though!

What Chris did

1. Lower section of the car and wheel arches sprayed with Valet Pro Citrus Prewash

2. Wheels sprayed with Wonder Wheels Hot Wheels Iron out

3. Car snow foamed with Valet Pro Snow Foam and a dash of Powermaxed TFR

4a. Rinsed off with pressure washer

4b. Car washed with TBM and Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo with a large Dooka Wash pad

4c. Power washed off

5. Rear of car sprayed with Wonder Wheels Hot Wheels Iron out

6. Power washed off

7. Car then refoamed and lightly wiped with a Farecla Clay Mitt..no contamination found at all

8. Rinsed again

9. Car rewashed using Autobrite Wax Off

10. Rinsed off

9. Dried off with a Chemical Guys Woolly Mammoth Drying Towel

10. Door shuts wheels and crevices blow dried and dressed with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer..Sealer

11. Car Machine polished with Poorboys Black Hole Glaze via Flex DA Polisher using a Chemical Guys Hexalogic Finishing Pad

12. While the Glaze cured, windows cleaned inside and out with diluted IPA

13. Exterior glass applied with Angelwax H2O water repellant

14 Car then applied with Autobrite Hellshine Abyss Sealer and buffed off with Autosmart plush MF cloth

15. Tyres dressed with Meguiars Endurance Tyre shine

16. Interior wipe down to remove light dust

17. Exterior applied with Zaino Z8 Final Finish and lightly buffed with a soft MF cloth

 

Getting the first detail done properly is really worthwhile I think. Costs the same as a dealer 'Lifeshine' or whatever but so much better.

 

I had mine done back in September and it is still beading nicely, and easy to just pressure wash clean.

If you're not careful, it soon becomes an addiction!
