Adjust brightness on the PID?

Featured Replies

I've prodded, pressed buttons and even read the manual (-10 man points for that!) but I cannot find a brightness control for the PID. In certain light conditions it can be difficult to read; is there a brightness control? Am I being somewhat 'thick'? Or does it just not have such a feature?

There is indeed. It's in one of the settings menus but I can't remember which one.

I do believe it's in the Satnav part of the PID settings, you can set it to auto adjust (goes dim when your in a tunnel! :o) or set it manually

Many thanks Hyphons; easy when you know where to look.

Interesting. Is it possible to dim the speedometer panel? Or dim the intense blue light when using full light (Or what it is called in english)?

Full light = Main beam. Your English is far better than my Norwegian!

Don't think so friend, if your good with a soldering iron and electrics it may be possible to swap the lights for dimmer ones

I am the dim one in the car, not the lights! However I would like a rheostat to vary the dash lights.

Err isn't there a little roller to dim the dash lights down by the light switch close to the wheel? Or am I getting confused with my Octavia?

Not on the Citigo. Only headlight adjustment.

It's most probably LED's inside this panel. It would be possible to place a potentiometer somewhere to adjust brightness, or I can ask the workshop if they can "program" the electronics somehow. If the LEDs brightness is regulated by a pulse width regulator, it should be programmable to reduce duty cycle.

There must be a light sensor somewhere as it reacts to changes in outside light.
