Sport Mode

Featured Replies

Loving the Noise from the speaker in sport mode.

Like the fact you can have an individual setting too.

Just wondering why they didn't call it VRS mode & do something with the dash lights when activated.

Because: ££

Indeed, its basically the same performance mode selection system all other models can get...the only difference in the vRS is that it gets a soundaktor and the model selection controls this too.

I think the Leon Cupra gets a Cupra mode but I am sure this is just a rebranded sport mode and nothing particularly special.

Going a little OT but have to say doesnt the new Cupra 280 ST look nice?!

Waste of a button, tbh... I bought a vrs, what other mode would I ever want it in???

Billyskoda, not sure about the vRS but, the standard models won't start in Sport Mode for the engine/DSG, something about protecting the engine when cold !!! Please check your matixdot showing the gear selection, if I turn mine off in S it'll start up in D by default.

Interesting. The  (manual) 1.4 TSi stays in whatever mode you select. As mentioned before, I rather like the engine in sport mode, but normal for all else.

The Cupra has a sport mode too... so for things like the diff and dampers & steering i think, they have 3 settings, normal sport and cupra. So the Cupra mode is a bit more hardcode... although they dont have a pre-set eco mode, you need to use the individual one to put the engine in that mode. (im getting one in march :D )
