Skoda Yeti Raised Boot Floor

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone, I am new to the Forum and wanted to ask for some advice from Yeti Owners. I have ordered a new Yeti L&K for delivery in March. I have a dog and want to put a dog cage in the boot so I need to raise the level of the boot floor. Would I be better buying the Variable Boot Floor or the Space Saver Spare Wheel which comes with a false boot floor? The dealer said if I get the Spare Wheel the boot floor will "wobble" unless it is factory fitted but now he is saying it will be OK. The dog weighs about 30kg plus the weight of the cage so don't know which option would be the strongest. I would be grateful for the opinion of Yeti owners! JanetR

My Yeti was second hand, supplied new with the puncture repair gunk. I got a spare wheel kit fitted by the dealer included as part of the deal. It is all supported by the spare wheel and polystyrene cubby holes, one of which my removable tow bar fits into nicely. I would imagine you shouldn't have too much of a problem with it.

Thanks Ian, They have quoted me £263 for the Variable Boot Floor, do you know how much it is for the Spare Wheel Kit? If the price is about the same I might as well have a Spare Wheel? For some reason the Dealer seemed to be trying to push the Variable Boot Floor saying it was stronger! I would have thought that the Spare Wheel underneath would add support!! JanetR

All my Yeti's have had the spare wheel fitted which makes the boot floor nicely level with the sill.

The second Yeti was a Greenline ,so I swapped over the spare, etc, from the first.

All have carried my Dog crate without any sort of " Wobble."

(You also have the reassurance of a spare wheel, jack, etc with you.)

Hi Janet,
