This is my nearest skoda dealer. My car is just over a year old. About 3000miles done.

I called them last week and they quoted £139 for a minor service. I was asked to book online. i promptly booked online and recieved an email confirmation. The day came and went - no one turned up to collect my car.

I called them again - the lady in the phone did a "quote" again !! This time its £169 !! £139 is only for cars 3+ yrs old. I asked her what extra work do they do for a first service. She tells me "its the same list of work as a minor service. its a policy we charge £169 for new cars". i told her i spoke to someone last week and they said £139. She put me on hold for a min and said "ok this time we"ll make it £139 for u but it will be different next time!

All this somehow doest seem right. Does anyone have recent positive experiences with them? im worried they might charge be for unnecessary work if they tried to rip me off even before they had my car.

make it clear you just want a service and if theres anything else required then a phone call first, you can always say no and get a second opinion
