Skoda Fabia vRS SE 1.9 TDi

Featured Replies

My old Fabia suddenly aquired a massive scrape down the front wing...it was on a bin day and too high up to be another car, I didnt hear or see anything and neither did my neighbours so no proof. On a brighter note I replaced it with a S.E some time later so its water under the bridge. Hope you get yours sorted and make sure you get it in somewhere good for the paintwork (You might even be able to get them to sort out the front grill while they are at it and bill it to the council??

  • Not many updates over the winter months, changed the exhaust tip and had the twists refurbed to put on this weekend. Will also be dewipering and debadging the rear.

OUCH!!! Get in contact with the council and get them to pay for the repair from their insurance.. wont affect yours and you can get it sorted properly. swap out the badges while your there.

good luck mate!

I wish I had an SE... love the colour!

I've sorted it all now, they've booked me in for an assessment at a decent repair place near me so all is well, I was considering swapping the badges over, keeping the old style but just with new ones as they're peeling a bit. Cheers mate.

They just don't care, they had to mount my drive to get anywhere near my car so i'm writing a complaint to do with that too as it happens nearly every time they come. That's unfortunate mate but at least you got an SE out of it! I'm demanding that they replace the boot instead of filling it and may see if they'll do the grille, good idea.

So I finally collected the fabia from the repair shop after the bin men reversed into me, all the work was paid for by the council so all in all it didnt take that long, really pleased with the work though, the rear looks brand new[emoji1] [emoji1]

Gave the car a good clean, clay and polish today, results were amazing. Fitted a HID kit, LED sidelights and white number plate bulbs. Got some pressed plates and a double din radio go fit and will be buying some AP coilovers next week and hopefully some porsche twists too[emoji2] e024f178ef8fb6fde1ee0e88215c2b90.jpg

All done, rears are all the way down with adjusters in, fronts are a bit less than half wound down. Wish the rear was a bit lower but hopefully it'll settle better.

Looking at a hid kit myself can I ask where you got yours from

Cheeky question can I ask how much you paid with only 60k on the clock

  • Author

HID kit was from HIDs direct if I remember correctly, they're not the greatest though, they're bright white and look good on the car but the beam is scattered all over. I paid £5300 private.

I've been told h7r is meant to give a better pattern just havnt got round to it yet and that's a good price with nice low miles post-123262-14282227722744_thumb.jpg this is mine also while I was going the leaky door seals

  • Author

Yeah i'll probably change mine eventually. They're a pain to get to without taking the bumper off. Looks good mate.

Really just to change the blub and ballats or the whole headlight unit ?

  • Author

Just the HID kit, could be the way the headlight unit is designed though, mirrors allover

Adjuster cups are out on the rear, lowered the front and removed the mud flaps.
