my Monte is now showing status 38 which means it's at port awaiting shipping. Hopefully not too much longer to wait!

I hope it lives up to my expectations!!!!

  • Sorry, but stating something on a forum then putting - FACT after it is one of my pet hates! The fact is that 5 doors in citigos and ups haven't sold as well as the three doors. What the residuals

  • This is a Skoda Citigo forum; trust me, we are all odd!

Oh good news. You won't regret it.

well apparently the stickerson a monte carlo are done at a different factory which is causing the delay, so I am guessing my car hasn't even left the second factory.

Looks like I am still weeks away from receiving my new car

Ouch, I feel your pain buddy.

Won't be long now [emoji4]

It's still at port, apparently there is a backlog of cars waiting to come over. I'm starting to lose faith and am genuinely thinking of cancelling and taking a car already over here, which would be a shame as I doubt I could get one in my spec.

Feeling very frustrated!

Don't do that! You'd always be thinking "why didn't I wait a bit longer?"

When I bought my first Yeti it was 6 months delivery! The dealer gave me a guaranteed PX and I got £300 refund when the delivery went over the 5 months agreed date, I suppose that's changed now but it might be worth a question.

I've had a discussion with the dealer, but they are very much "it's not our fault" If it drags on much longer without getting on a boat then I will cancel and get something else.

Hold in there mate. You've been patient so far [emoji6]

Just to **** me off I came out of Argos earlier and saw a lovely white sport with red stripes. Made me remember why I ordered a citigo in the first place! I've heard some horror stories of skodas being stuck at port for weeks. If it's not on the boat in two weeks then I think I'll be asking for my deposit back and will buy something else. It's been 9 weeks. Wouldn't have been an issue had the dealer not given my false hope saying I would have it late March!

Mine was stuck at Emden for just over 3 weeks.Rang up Skoda UK for an update for shipping and guess what?,48 hours later the car was in Grimsby.

try and hang on in there mate, i was warned there was a delay with shipping when i ordered mine too, dealer was really good with me and kept me posted and because it was already built he told me when it would be shipped etc and it was spot on all the way.

i know its frustrating but it'll be worth the wait :)

Still at port. Ordered 10 weeks ago this coming Monday. I only sold my car as the dealer said my new one would be available sooner. Going to kick up some **** next week and see if they will loan me a car whilst a wait.

Good idea [emoji106]

I thought it's generally around 12 weeks max?

You should have stuck with the 12 week estimation, that way no disappointment. Mine was dot on 12 weeks and it has been on most of the Citigo production and delivery chain AFAIK.

You seem about on course for 12 weeks, it's worth the wait, honestly, they are great cars.

I'm not sure how you'd get on cancelling your order, especially as they are still within the 12 weeks they said it could take, i'm guessing you'll loose your deposit? If you go for a different car it'll be a minimum of 1-2 weeks, which your's should be here by then anyway.  As it approaches the 12 week point i'd certainly be hassling the dealer, see what you can get thrown in as extra if nothing else.   I did say red cars were slower didn't I.

Gotta be worth a whole set of mats incl boot [emoji106]

If it goes over time [emoji6]

Don't you get mats as standard in a monte?

You don't on an SE, although ones that seem ok quality and fitted etc are £15 on ebay.

You don't get any mats no. It's all a separate purchase [emoji57]

Seems to be included?

Even better [emoji106]

I got carpet mats with my Sport which I didn't want so had to buy rubber mats. They wouldn't exchange them over [emoji57]

yes mate you do :) and the MP3 holder but no PID case, apparently Skoda dont make them which is odd. i'd still be trawling the options catalogue to see what free stuff you can get thrown in ;)

I'll ask them to fit my armrest and a full tank of fuel. Not sure what else I can ask for? Don't like the look of mudflaps.
