Test drive booked!

Featured Replies

Yeah it will be nice to have my own car again. I personally don't believe the engines need to be "run in" I'll use the revs from day 1.

its my first ever brand new one so i wasnt sure wether i should or not, 500 miles done though so will start to give it some more now :)

  • Sorry, but stating something on a forum then putting - FACT after it is one of my pet hates! The fact is that 5 doors in citigos and ups haven't sold as well as the three doors. What the residuals

They all seem to be red! The one at the dealer was silver, just couldn't justify the £500 extra having already spent £1k on options lol

Looks great and I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Regarding running in, my Mii's manual specifically recommends taking it easy for the first 1,000 miles. I'm sure it's sound advice as in retrospect the engine was very tight in the beginning and loosened up noticeably at the 4-5,000 mile mark.

Two years and 20,000 miles with my Mii and I still love it. As has been said many times the combination of a light car and revvy engine is ridiculously good fun. Costs buttons to run too.

Congratulations on the car - look forward to hearing how you get on with it.

Great news. Looks great [emoji106][emoji4]

Just signed the paperwork and looked at the car. So glad I went for the memory on the drivers seat, I would get annoyed having to adjust my seat every time I let someone in. It was covered in bird **** as it's not been cleaned, luckily it was only on the glass though.

Forgot to check if it had both window switches on the drivers side, I'm sure it has. I also wish I'd ordered DAB and a 5 door. Never mind :-)

Roll on Monday when I can pick it up.

Covered in bird **** you say..

The car hasn't been left at Westover Skoda by any chance? I came out to my quote "car has been cleaned" car to find it covered in dust and **** :D

No I hope not. I'm hoping they clean it Monday morning before I collect. Going to fit my armrest straight away. Does anyone know how to do this?

I'm fitting mine tomorrow with help of a friend, could take instructional photos?

Still trying to work out if they'd look right on a white one or not.

Black and White theme would look ok [emoji106]

That's what i'm thinking, I was going to ask if they'd make it go any quicker, but being white its always going to be quicker than red ones so who cares!!!!

I take it they use standard bulbs?, how much are they??

I remember having a primera years ago, they didn't have clear ones available, only yellow, somebody worked out C class merc ones fitted, £1 something each from the main dealer!!, I spent more on the orange bulbs!!

They use Orange capless bulbs which I have included.

£12 incl post [emoji106][emoji4]

Well it's here. Got in to drive it home and there was **** all fuel in it. Luckily I read on here that there should be £20 of fuel in it so they took it to the local garage and filled it up. Was also a little surprised that it had done 67 miles!

Anyway, drove home and was really pleased. It was way quieter than the one I test drove, I won't bother with any further sound insulation. Maybe it's the spare wheel and variable floor? Also the stereo is pretty good and steamed spotify from my phone perfectly.

The engines on these sound so good, threw it around a few twisties which was fun, and averaged 60mpg.

All in all really pleased with it, and well worth the wait. No new pictures as it was ****ing it down.

Wouldn't worry about the milage, your part of the "Nurburgring club" where they took the car round the track for testing, same as mine which had 50 something miles on it when it came

Lol, I heard if you run them in hard you get more power....

You do. I run my Sport in hard and it was lovely and loose [emoji4]
