Keep blowing Glow plug strip fuse

Featured Replies

After my little discovery of a blown strip fuse in the battery box, I replaced it, but recently noticed my new one had also blown

This is the glowplug circuit apparently.  number 4 out of the 6, from left to right.  Just wondering what might be causing this, as glowplugs appear to be working OK?

According to the list in here, No. 4 is ABS, No. 6 is glowplugs?

Interesting!  That means my mate's Autodata is wrong then! :D

It would also go a long way to explaining (to a point) why my fusebox keeps blowing strip 4 given the issues with ABS/ASR/hand brake light flashing that I am having!

When the number 4 strip fuse was blown, did the glow plugs work?

They still work regardless now,  Which leads me to believe 4 = ABS module, and 6 = glowplugs (which is intact and working OK)

When the strip fuse was replaced, did it blow straightaway?

If not, you may be able to read the codes on the system.

If it does, sounds like it could be a dead short.
