Not me, but I saw what caused it and is not behaviour becoming anyone on this forum in my opinion, provoked or not, everyone should know how to act.

I was trying to see what was the problem (cause of the ban) but all the "offending posts" were briskly ( ) removed. It was about "Freedom" and "Regular" membership debate in "Off Topic", thread started by Chrisrs. I did not ask him what was the matter really as I frankly do not care . He doesn't seem to care too much either but suffers from serious withdrawal symptoms!

We need the man back, he's a hero of briskoda! He is like a flowing fountain of knowledge.. He'd be severely missed by many!!!

I hope he's enjoying his break, and that we see a recharged Goneoffski back here going full throttle. 

 

No doubt there will be loads of twin charger queries awaiting him on his return, I just hope the poor chap doesn't end up doing an all nighter and suffering burn out.

Actually, only really quite simple blatant baiting will result in any kind of action.  It's amazing what some people will post just because they know they will generate hostility and give us poor unpaid moderators work to do!  :(

Oh, c'mon, otherwise you'd sweet fa to do here - admit you just love it from time to whip out the Hammer of Ban . I am personally allergic to righteous pr1ck$ and self proclaimed Lords Justice - their way or fekking highway and excommunication lol. There's enough misery in the world without the need to create any more out of hot air.

People actually have real problems believe it or not...

Pleased to report George is fine, talking to him yesterday and he's been off hunting for a car with his son and taking the chance to get his Vrs out for a few runs around Scotland. Not great weather for it but he was quietly pleased with the wet weather performance of his new front tyres as well as front discs and pads. 

 

It says a lot for the esteem in which he's held within the community that folk do miss him from the forum, I'm sure he'll be back when his time is served and will be itching to get into a couple of threads that have appeared.

In a round about way he is, I've sent a small barrow load full of quotes from posts of his to an Audi A1 TFSI owner (63 plate) on another forum (football related) who's having terrible problems with Audi since he complained about his car using more than a litre of oil within a thousand miles. Audi told him that it was normal for the twin charger to use a litre every 600 miles, nothing to see here, move along move along. I believe the information from George has pushed the owner to tackling Audi more directly.

friendly warning not required thanks as it wasn't my intention to bait anyone, mearely a light hearted suggestion for people to post things George would be interested in so he feels welcome on his return.

I see no problem with Briskoda moderation, it's not heavy-handed in any way compared to many forums out there

No volunteer moderator in their right mind would want to spend more time than they have to trawling through the thousands of posts which go through here day in, day out, and I'm sure they don't get the ban stick out lightly

I'm sure it's not a task you'd like to take on, so accept it for what it is
