Hi all

Tried doing a search but can't seem to find anything to help

Managed to get seat memory to work in position 1&2. 1 me 2 wife but can't seem to program it with the remote to go to my position when it been left by wife when unlocking/opening door

Doing as book says put to my position, hold 1 and press unlock. Get a bong but won't work

Am I doing something wrong or not

It's a 13 reg, garage getting back to me as bought from away

Anyone help

I assume you have unlocked the car with the key you want to attach the seat memory position to?.

Yeah, put seat to wife's position lock car then when I unlock/open door the seat just stays put.

That's strange then.  Presumably you are and your wife are using separate key fobs?  Each key will only store one setting AFAIK.

Have position one for you, two for your good lady and three for getting in and out of the car whilst avoiding wear on the side bolsters of the seats. I know that does not really answer your question but it does avoid the wear issue that has plagued a lot of other people.

Here is what I find works to save to a key:

 

1) IGN on but engine not running.

 

2) Hold down SET for a second and then release.

3) Press number to save (1, 2 or 3)

4) Wait for bong. Release number button.

 

5) IGN off (and key out of  hole if not KESSY)

 

6) Open drivers side door.

 

7) Press un-lock on remote. Hazard lights will flash.

 

8) Profit!

 

I'd also point out that there seem to be two places it's saved, one in the seat controller and one in whatever interfaces to the key radio.  As I can adjust and save a position to 1, 2 or 3, but if I don't do the door-open-press-unlock dance then when I next unlock the car the seat will move to where it was saved on the key, and not on the seat position button.  And yes always using the same key.

Tried resetting again the way Wokwon says and still not working. I'll wait to see what garage says when they phone and if still no success I'll have to go to the local dealer and get them to try
