  • I'm not sure about the electrical niggles - it sounds a bit like it's been rewired by a f%^*wit sparky. Anyway - if you have ASR the button on the centre console says ASR. If you have ESP it says ESP

  • If you want your head unit to keep its memory, swap over the red and yellow cables at the back. Put the yellow with red and the red with yellow.

  • As above about asr Have you checked brake fluid level? As for headunit maybe somebody had a diff one in and tried to fit original and just shoved it in perhap cables been broken in process as im sur

Took this pic of mine. It's a 1.4 MPI but I presume the wires will be the same. The brown/white and purple wires look to have been swapped round on yours for some reason.

I have a loose head light, discovered the main rear fix point has been broken off shown here

1 = snapped fix point

2 = snapped point on the headlight

3 =  screw missing

4 = bodged screw needs replacing with proper screw and washer.

So i think the worst is the main fix point, really not sure what can be done here, if i make a bracket the screw will stop the headlight going in...

Think i need a new headlight?

Also removed the ERG, with the intention of clean and refit... no chance, with these pain in the arse bottom screws.. what a tard of a job!!

I also could do with the measurement for the crankcase breather, and the air pipe, so i can order some silicone tubes... that was another bodged job with three different sizes of fuel line and garden hoses acting as a reducer to oil catch.

Another expensive time on this laptop, ordered Gates Timing kit + water pump, and aux kit + tensioner, and a ERG delete pipe.

...and a ERG delete pipe.

EGR, Exhaust Gas Recirculation, EGR not ERG, an ERG is a measure of work equal to 10^-7 Joules, you're driving me nuts!
