If anyone had told me 2 weeks ago that I would be foaming at the mouth at the thought of buying a skoda and abandoning a mini cooper, I would have called them mad!

However, after taking a test drive in a Fabia vrs last night, i am completely sold:eek:

What I would like to know is whether any owners here have had a bargain from dealers in the northwest of england or north wales. My local dealer offered me the flaps, mats and metallic paint if bought for cash. Is that a good deal. I'd be grateful if you would let me know.

Welcome Bos - There are quite a few people on here who are currently buying or have bought a Fabia vRS. Personally, I'm modding my 2001 TDI to make it up to vRS standards. I'll let vRS buyers say more.

He wants the FULL cash price i assume? If so, i dont think its that good a deal TBH..

The car is at the moment being sold to order so anything is a good deal if you get something outside of the mrp. Skoda retail priices are always hard to get great discounts as magazines will verify. However hopefully you will get good service from your supplying dealer and the Skoda Uk network including LL's Cutsomer service team . for investing your money in the company. The mini cooper looks a great car hope you enjoty your new purchase.

Firstly the mini is a cracking car, only had the pleasure of seeing a few actually driven, cracking car.

But onto business, well I got a few flyers through this morning for a dealer that we use in the North West (North Manchester). They understand us and accomodate us, they also furnish us with a discount on work. I have not got a price from them for a new vRS Fabia, but a new vRS Octavia could be taken from as little as 11,995, which is quite simply soo tempting, oops cats out of the bag...

I understand from a recent conversation between sales and Ian (Tavia4x4) that they are also willing to do some amazing deals if you mention this site! This weekend they are holding a three day massive sale (bonus time) so it might be worth giving them a call. Check the discounts section for full details.
