That was really good - I had no idea that Skoda were not in the USA.

Very positive feedback from the US public though...and it looks lovely in estate form too.

Their perception of build quality and interiors is a bit different compared to this side of the world. I can see how they would be impressed. I suppose you only have to look at some of the rubbish produced in the States with questionable build quality to say the least.

It would actually be an ideal market to tap as the Americans like their cars on the larger side so Skoda ticks the box there especially the combi.

The Superb Combi is tiny compared to 75% of what they sell in the USA. Not to mention nobody buys wagons over there.

When briefly discussing the petrol engine options he totally ignores the brilliant 3.6l AWD option - that's the one they'd like out there! Interesting to see peoples responses though.

If Skoda sold in the USA VW and Audi would be down considerably on sales within a year.

Škoda were sold in the USA very briefly in 1959/60 when the Felicia model was marketed.  It was a disaster as it was the same price as an American V8 and there reliability issues, so they pulled out very quickly and have never returned.
