Things to Fix in my first Service..............

Featured Replies

Well, I have a 2002 Skoda Octavia 1.8T L&K. I get it on October 02 and next week I have to take the car for his first 5,000 Kilometer Service.

This are the things that I found they have to fix in the car under guarantee.

1)Left driver side window automatic roll up sometimes work sometimes no.

Dealer says they have to change the window motor

2)Windows block swich on the driver window controler so the kids do not lower the windows do not engage. I press it to keep it down but it coming up.

Dealers says that he have A LOT of Skodas with the same problem

3)Symphony deluxe radio has bad reception and the volume lower itself.

Dealer says they have to change the radio since there is a lot of this radio giving the same problem.

4) There is a message that comes on the center part of the instrument panel that say my trunk is open, Eaven that my trunk is close.

Dealer says they have to adjust the switch on the trunk.

5) The glove compartment do not close ok.

Dealers says they have to adjust that.

6)The front right suspension/shock absorber make a very bad noise when I drive in a bad street with some holes. It sound like the shock absorber touch/hit the uper part of the car.

Dealer says that they going to rise the car to see what they find.

My wife also has a one year old Skoda 1.6i Octavia Combi Elegance and the only problem that this car has during this year period has been a belt tensor on the air condition compresor anb the two rear electric window that the window get in the lower position and dont want to rise.

So, is my car is a lemon or what? Do this things are normal for a new car??? How many of you has find the same problem I has described here?

THX,

Isaac

I think the window roll up problem is common to a number of VAG cars, including the Golf. Mine occasionally doesn't do what I expect it to. If it misbehaves when closing, I find that if I fully open the window then close it again, the problem clears. Try a search on other VW/Audi/Seat forums, including VWvortex, if you want to see what window problems others have had. :)
