I'm not but good find. Would be worth registering to report it, can do if I get chance tomorrow. Have you pm'd butchvrs?

I have just registered and reported it. This idiot needs bringing down a peg or 2.

Be a useful thing to do, anyone on the vw forums mentioned in post #51?

Noticed on SCN that Grahams81 is likely abandoning his 4WD project due to stringent IVA test rules. :(

Had a look at the page and it looks like it's been removed from Swapz.co.uk  :D

I see he's now added the registration to the original thread title, obviously to prove a point that he owns it.

Looking forward to this being sold on honestly, not using deception.

PS: I think a moderator may have added the reg just in case anything else gets moved.  It wasn't there last night at midnight, and the OP hasn't been online since 9pm ish yesterday.

ColinD added the reg to the title

The google bots will pick up on the title, so if anyone does a search on the reg number Google will show this thread. This will hopefully assist any potential buyer of any fraudulent claims.

Now number one on the Google search already if you put in the reg.

Ahh got it, good move.

graham81 is now aware of this thread

Also, he has now decided to plow on and finish the priject..

Great news!  I was reading about the potential project cessation a few days ago.

Yea glad he has I was a little gutted when he said he wasn't going to

A very interesting thread, its good to see how making deception visible can slow it down / stop it.

I'm not sure, but is it not possible to copyright pictures / text as "interlectual property" on a website. I did this for teaching manuals I created prior to getting a p/t job at local college.

HR wanted to claim them as college material, but i pointed out that I had created them and could prove creation date, this stopped them persuing the matter.

Lets keep this thread alive. !!!!!

NB: Noted that O/P was logged on yesterday (4th) at 19.52

Yep, the very act of taking the photo makes you the 'creator of the works' and thus copyright owner.. it can be different if you've been paid/comissioned by a 3rd party though, as depending on the contract ou have, they might own the copyright to anything you produce whilst under their employ.

I don't think the issue is necessarily the use of photos it's claiming they were part of some big engine rebuild when in reality NONE of it was actually true!  That's just deception / fraud. :)

Only noticed this because I "follow" Graham81's thread ...which is epic/nuts/bonkers/wtf?............... :o

Scumbags have an easier job of ripping people off due to the web...............

However as proved by the "detectives" it is easier to "follow" the scumbags...................hello............ :hi:

Wonder who he has copied the invoice from or which picture he copied from google

Could be me I listed one last week. Is a different photo though rest assured.

He's probably got the receipt from the history file (the one in the original e-bayadvert photo's with the car reg on the front, which I made) as I did buy the valve from Forge direct (I only lived about 3 miles from them).

However I don't think it's the same valve as mine had a wear mark on the side facing the camera from where it rubbed against the cooling fan shroud (had a valve relocation kit fitted), it would also have taken a lot of polishing to make it look that clean!
