Anyone know of a good body shop in the Northwest?

Featured Replies

Evening all.

As the title suggests, I was washing my car today and discovered that some miserable sod has backed into my car and driven off without leaving any details.

The damage is to the rear offside wheel arch which has now got a crease in it, the offside rear passenger door which is also creased ever so slightly along with slight scratches on the offside passenger and drivers door.

My car is a 56 Octavia Elegance which is or should I say, was in fantastic condition. I'm a fussy sod when it comes to looking after my car and therefore looking for a paint shop that will do a quality job rather than a bodge one.

A mate of mine has got a brother who's got his own paint shop and going off the photo only has quoted £180 which I thought was a bit too cheap.

Here's the photo and I'd appreciate any advice as to expected costs or recommended paint shops.

Thanks in advance.

Dave.

Where a bouts in the North West are you? I know of a couple in and around Preston if that is close enough?

Hi mate.

Thanks for taking time out to reply. I'm not too far from Preston, however I've now booked it into a body shop which came highly recommended to me by a mate who's as fussy about his body work as I am!

The guy took time out to show me exactly what was required and I was very impressed by the standard of their work. Still, it's money that I wasn't expecting to pay out and all down to some buffoon who couldn't be bothered to stop!

Thanks again for your help, it's appreciated.

Dave.

Rob at paint perfect Manchester. If your ever looking again. Great service, him and all his guys know what they're doing!

Happy to help: that is what this forum is all about.

I hope the car comes back tip top for you.
