id imagine its just a rebadged thule so will be very good although you could probably get a cruz much cheaper

how about lowering springs?

I have the roof bars and they're great... I like the suggestion of lowering springs or tinted windows?

RARB...Rear anti-roll bar..Stabilse car for better ride.

If your planning an upgrade to 17s at some point id grab a set of Eibachs now. If not those bars are useful, especially if your a biker.

Do they sell Beer..........

service?

Full size spare if you don't already have one.

If you do have one, then roof bars, mudflaps, rubber mats, carpet mats, in that order of priority.

Got a full size spare.

Got 17s

Will get roof bars as I mountain bike/ kayak a lot in summer.

Mud flaps too and rubber mats as I always wear wellies for the dog walks etc.

This, or put it towards a Sat Nav or arm rest ...

It's an elegance so it's pretty good spec. Got a centre arm rest and use my phone for sat Nav.

Decided on Roof Rack, Mud Flaps & Rubber Matts. Total value £260 but I needed the mats! Not too bad considering I'll only have to pay £60. Although they wanted £60 to fit the flaps so I said I do them.

Any guides on fitting the mud flaps (front and rear)?

good stuff out of interest what was the complaint ?

Most skoda dealers probably have a trade-in they'd let go for £200 - I'd by that for SWMBO :D

Rear mud flaps are very simple. All you need is a low-profile right angle ratchet screwdriver. That will enable you to remove the two screws in each rear wheel arch liner, fit the mud flaps and reinsert & screw in the screws without removing the rear wheels. The third mounting point on each mudflap uses the supplied push-fit plastic grommets and the holes are already pre-punched in the wheel arch liner.

I used this one, which I bought from Amazon for £6: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-28910-Offset-Ratchet-Tool/dp/B0077LGRDO/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426887289&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Rolson+mini+ratchet

For the fronts, you again remove the two screws in each wheel arch liner, fit the mudflaps and reinsert and tighten the screws. The third mounting point again uses the supplied push-fit grommets, but you need to drill a hole in the plastic wheel arch liner for each mudflap for the grommet to go into.

All this can be done by just turning the wheels to full lock, no need to take the front wheels off. For the drilling, use a right angle drill adapter. I got this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-48226-Right-Angle-Attachment/dp/B000QF5V4E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426887374&sr=8-1&keywords=Rolson+right+angle+drill

Rear mudflaps took me 5 minutes total to fit (did them one lunchtime in my office car park). Fronts should take no more than 15 mins. Make sure you clean the wheel arches before fitting.

good stuff out of interest what was the complaint ?

I bought the car as an approved used Skoda, took the vehicle away I noticed there was a small dent in the door that wasn't pointed out to me. I bought the vehicle in the evening and the light was low I know this is my responsibility but I still felt a little bit 'mugged off'. There was also a slight tear in one of the seats again wasn't pointed out to me and I just felt like the dealership could've done a little bit more in showing me this.

The offside and nearside window switch stopped working correctly this had to be replaced. MDI cable and the connector box which I made a post about that stopped working, it was faulty that also need to replacing. It took them ages and ages approximately three trips to the dealership. Having to hire three courtesy cars, the service was quite poor. As a result I made a complaint with Skoda UK who are brilliant and they decided that £200 was sufficient. I didn't have to pay a single penny though which was good but it was also made clear by myself that they wouldn't be getting back the courtesy car until mine was fully fixed

Good result.

That's more than I'm getting from Skoda UK, who I have found are consistently f****** useless.

Oh that's not good. They have one manager for each area of the UK. For example the lady I spoke to covered the south west dealerships.

Unfortunately, the girl dealing with my complaint is a moron, and a liar. I escalated my complaint to the UK MD of Skoda, though the people in his office are equally unhelpful and are more interested in trying to cover for their lying colleague than dealing with the outstanding issues on my car.

Oh wow, that's not good then. I must have been lucky. She was so helpful and kind.

My experience of Skoda UK was a good one when I bought my used rapid from a franchise and there were some issues.

Skoda UK Customer Satisfaction have been great to me these past 2 months but VWFS that's a different story [emoji19]
