Car Alarm System

Featured Replies

I am having troubles with my alarm activating without apparent reason. It activates  when parked if a car  a car passes at some speed. However if the car is shaken by hand the alarm will not sound. I do not think that heat is affecting it.

As it is still under warranty I checked with the Service Manager who said they would try and find out from other sources, this was three weeks ago. This and other events lead me to despair of Skoda (OZ) backup. I was under the impression it could be checked by fault finding electronics.

I would be most grateful for any information members may have.

That sounds like the ultrasonic sensors are picking up the change in air pressure inside the cabin, that would be caused by a car passing at speed.

Is there any way to adjust alarm sensitivity... For the dealer maybe or possibly using vcds?

Are the windows close properly?  Could cause a pressure change

A scan of the alarm with VCDS will tell you exactly why the alarm sounded, you can take the resolution from there.
