Because someone on here before said that its the same as the b&m shifter so I was asking if anyone knew or knew anyone that's fit one.

Those compatibility things aren't always accurate anyway otherwise I would of done that...

That is the one I was going to buy for my Fabia before I sold it. Looks a copy to the B&M shifter to me!

    The ones that fit on the gear box don't Steve, from what I've seen. Otherwise I'd have one fitted

     

    That's a bummer.

    Usually the 02J short shift does not fit the 02M box.  I am curious as well now.

    I have the b&m short shifter on my Fabia, but a mate with an SE found compatibility issues

    Yes it does fit and it does work perfectly,

    It changes from push down reverse to pull up.

    Whats with all the sarcasm :-S lol

    I wouldnt mind but the ebay listings says Check the internet for 'Golf mk4 shifter fitting instructions'

     

    google says there isnt one lol

    Does this just shorten the gear stick or does it also reduce the throw?

    It does also reduce the throw feels much more crisp.

    I will try and get the link to what my mate found.
