looking to buy a 64 plate vrs

Featured Replies

I am going to  look at a vrs diesel dsg  estate tomorrow. about 70 miles from my home.

it has blk pack, sunroof, sat ,  9000 miles. in white.

Does the vrs come with keyles entry and ignition as standard.

its listed with a non skoda franchise etc.  I take it the warranty is still covered by skoda.

£20990, they are asking

Any comments would appreciated, lots of money for me.

Keyless entry and ignition are optional extras, the warranty is still with skoda

Sounds nice, be interesting to see if its a former private keeper or ex-hire/lease car. Id ask if they can prove who previously kept the vehicle.

Price wise for age, mileage and spec sounds reasonable...i'd wager you could get it for 20.5 or 20k dead without too much hassle.

Well, I have purchased the car, was an ex demo followed by a private owner for several months. Very clean car so I don't believe it was ever a hire/lease vehicle, all checks done, all clear.

Got a good/ more than I had been offered from a skoda garage  px price for my car and Knocked the seller down a bit. Not quite the 20k mark, but happy with the deal,

Took it for a long test drive, by god compared to my Insignia it goes well.

Some other extras i found on the car so far-

 spare wheel.

Electric boot.

It may have sunset glass, Im not sure how dark the windows are standard.

New/nearly new tyres all round, 2 contis and 2  Hankoks...( will be asking questions about these soon

Just waiting for monies to move around my bank and hopefully by middle of next week I will be a Skoda octavia vrs owner...

Nice one, I, like you have a pan sun and a power boot, wouldn't be without them.

Enjoy your ride... :)

Damn, I wish I saw your thread before you signed on the dotted line!!  I've got a brand new one on order for not much more than you've paid!

Thanks for the feedback, as bad as it might be for me lol.

I needed a car now really, rather than wait 3 or 4 months. i got a good px for my car as well so not too bad.

If I was going to add a few thousand more to be honest i would have gone for a Audi A4/A5 s-line.

Im right at the top of my budget, wife got a new car  a couple of months ago so the old slush fund was not too full and didnt want big loans.

I did look at places like Carwow,  spec the car  up the same and was several thousand pounds more still.

Hopefully it wont have any gremlins etc hiding.

I would not worry too much, don’t forget you got a DSG with some significant extras. I paid £21k for mine new in October (6 week delivery), but it was pretty much stock with only detachable tow bar and black pack (pre ordered car already built, tow bar fitted by dealer).
