Best trade-in price on my old car in Dublin. Really friendly salesman Joe. Couldn't fault them on anything. Super car.

  • 2 months later...

I have bought a few spare parts from them and they were very helpful. First class service and all the staff are extremely friendly.

Contact Joe just picked up new VRS Oct 170.Great service returned all phone calls when asked.Even when not asked cant praise them enough.Great service.

thoght they were a bunch of rip off merchants.

Got my Fabia vRS serviced by them in the Beacon Automotive service centre and couldn't fault them. Very professional service and excellent communication with me as a customer. No additional work was carried out without first contacting me to make sure it was okay and in the end I got a 7% discount to keep the price within my budget. Would have no qualms about getting my car serviced here again.

Thumbs up for Colm in sales. He brought me out for a test-drive in the Fabia II. He was very enthusiastic about the brand and certainly knew his stuff.

i had a "different" experience with that same salesman.

recently purchased vrs octavia diesel from autostation and am delighted with the car which is ideal for twisty roads here in west of ireland. Colm was the salesman . Very efficient and displayed great knowledge of the product. My best new car shopping experience ever. Traded in a 06 superb 130 bhp and managed to save 5850 euro over what i was being asked to pay to for same deal in galway and 1350 euro under next best deal. Well worth shopping around.

have a bit of an intermittent fault with my baby at the moment, so i rang this shower to organise a drop in and diagnose. it took 7 hours (and 4 calls) to get a call back.

Once i did get a call back i was dealing with a Eugene, i attempted to explain the problem to him and his attitude excreted lack of interest. he tried to disinterest me by telling me how long it "could" take to diagnose and the cost involved leaving me feeling very deflated and let down.

I rang the garage out by the park, attempted to start explaining the fault and he cut accross me to give me the full problem, the cause, the solution and when he could take the car, It was such a relief. The only down side was he cant take the car till the 19th :)

I'd sooner burn my car out than think about leaving it with these guys.

I spoke with Colm in there before buying my Fabia vRS privately and much to my surprise he was very helpful and full of encouragement. I'll be dropping into them for a service in 2,500 miles I think. Will withhold final judgment until after that time though!

Have all the bad experiences happened at the old premises?

Bought my Combi in Autostation Sandyford, and i get it serviced there, there knowledge and prices are what i would call great, compared to some larger dealerships these guys put them to shame.

  • 7 months later...

Bought my Octy there in 2005 when they were based in Dun Laoighre...and although there was a bit of delay in it arriving...they were reasonably good in handling the transaction. However when they moved to Sandyford...I was not at all impressed with their service centre. Thought it was a bit on the pricey side...and then they replaced a part which didnt need replacing and when the problem reappeared and I brought it back...instead of getting an apology from them for misdiagnosing (to my cost) the problem...I got a lecture from them. I asked them how long it would take..and when they were not forthcoming with an estimated time..I said "I wouldnt have to be here if you had fixed the fn problem correctly in the 1st place. He took exception at my usage, in a sense of frustration, of the F word...and gave me a lecture in front of his colleagues. I promptly asked for my keys back and left...having wasted a morning trekking out there.

Customer service...NIL points, from me....and I'm glad to report that I have just ordered my new Octy from ***************...who recognize customer service is more than just smooth talking salesmen.

Inappropriate mention of another dealer deleted.

It's a nice touch to see this garage, texting customers 2 months in advance of their warranty expiring, offering them the chance to book their car in, for a free vehicle check. This will no doubt find any work that may be required, while warranty is still in force.

Other garages that I am aware of in the Dublin area, have not done the same.
