RNS 315 Amundsen Default Screen Colour

Featured Replies

As the Amundsen RNS310 / Amundsen+ RNS315 is a shared VW/SEAT/SKODA unit, does anybody know if the screen colour can be changed between the Blue, Red and Green (default) colours used by each brand.

It may be that it's software specific to each brand, but I wondered if it could be adapted via VCDS or the units directly accessible Developermode?

I was looking at the adaption channels on mine (RNS310) the other day and couldn't see anything related to menu colours.

The firmware updates are not brand specific so it's also not as simple as finding a branded firmware disc either.

So as far as I know, no, it's not possible to change the menu colours.

If i remember back to the days of my Leon and my RCD510 you could change between colours it had vw/audi (S and RS), Seat and Skoda but it required Vagcom to be able to do it.

i think you can only change RNS 510 -> http://www.motordiag.cz/produkt/mrmprofi

It might be possible to change between versions of RNS315/Amundsen Plus, but the tool you've linked to there is a specific RNS510 service program. It doesn't touch the RNS315 at all. I'm not sure if anyone has manufactured an RNS315 service tool yet, but it's not possible to brand change with VCDS I'm afraid.

I've done it on a RCD 510 so its def not just RNS510.

Yes, you can change the colour scheme of the RCD 510 between the different colour schemes of the VW brand (Premium, Sportsline, and Highline), but you can't change the branding colours of the unit (VW - Skoda - Seat) with VCDS.
