I've had two Octavia vrs mk1's both remapped and loved them so I now want a mk2 vrs preferably an estate due to 2 kids and dog and my mtb hobbie, however after scouring classifieds I've come across a Octavia scout 1.8 tsi in White and love the looks of it but worried If I got one I would always regret not getting the vrs.

Anyone driven 1.8 tsi and vrs 2.0 fsi is there much differance in the performance?

I went from a pre-facelift vRS tfsi to a facelift Scout tsi and I suggest that you drive both cars.

The scout has less bottom end torque and it's heavier, so it feels a lot flatter low down, as such you need to use more revs compared to a petrol vRS.

Ok many thanks, I've wanted a mk2 vrs for a while now and I've always gone for the hot version of every car Ive had just something about the looks of the scout especially in White thats grabbed my fancy but think I would miss the performance of the vrs.

Buy a white estate VRS then you have a Scout-ish outline but the extra performance of the 2.0 litre.

Yeah I love the looks of vrs in White as well.
