auto locking

Featured Replies

On my 2014 140 tour de france with "keyless" entry , are the doors supposed to lock when you walk out of range with the "keyless" key? The only way to lock the doors appears to be pressing the button on the  "keyless" key ?

Is there a way to configure it , I've looked in the menu and I've managed to set up auto lock which locks doors after 10 kph

thanks PP

They won't automatically lock as you walk away but you shouldn't have to use the fob.  Just placing your hand around the sensor on the door (basically grab the handle as you would on a normal Superb) and that should open/close the doors.  In fact if you look at the door handle you will see a small indent where you would traditionally have put the key in - the sensor is located there.  I find just touching that with my finger should open/close it

.....to answer your question, no, I don't think that is possible AFAIK.  Other manufacturers may do but the VAG requires you to touch the door handle

I can open it by touching the door handles but not lock it. On my missus's capture you just walk away and it locks

ooooh that special spot. :D

As we say here in Australia RTFM. A friend bought a new Jag and for 3 weeks he was under the impression it locked itself when he walked away. He was almost physically ill when I told him this was not the case. For 3 weeks it had been parked in London or Croydon unlocked. I have programmed mine so only the driver's door unlocks when I grab the handle.
