Much appreciated Wino & hutchysrs50 for quick response , i shall do the same as advised. Also it does not make sense to pay 70-80 GBP for 2007 motor almost 10 years old, people on net are asking ridiculous price.  I shall try to clean it as adviced and if it did not work buy it new one rather than used one.

Just to share with all readers of  my experience skoda fabia 2007 model - few weeks back my car engine was loosing power frequently and engine light was coming up . it had few time but mechanic advised me that it may due Morrison petrol issue as i use Morrison petrol . Later engine started loosing power more frequently then my mechanic checked again with computer and said me this time compute is showing fault in  throttle body.  Mechanic estimated that bill would approx 300GBP.

Before changing part i took some time for decision and  googled.  As per people advice i have cleaned the throttle body which was quite messy. Even then problem started getting worse and even engine started misfiring. I had neginbhour mechanic who was very kind on my request he agreed to given me 2nd opnioin and advised me to bring car to garage as he does not have computer to identify the fault.  But suspected the fault could be spark plug  + throttle body.

Since i spend few hour on car and felt that frequent start stoping made the problem worse but in-fact it helped me identify the root cause quickly.  Mechanic while visual looking issue just felt some hissing sound was coming near the engine he just touched a pipe which was below throttle body and pipe came out.  Finally he proved that there was nothing wrong in engine or spark plugs it was pipe which broken an leaking the air. Car on board compute was getting false infromation and feeling that engine is leaking air. It costed me 22 GBP and car is back to normal . The patience saved me 300GBP.

Moral of the story we should get 2nd opnioin and never trust immediately on compute or mechanic says. Hope it helps others. I have similar house pipe for Skoda is lying spare as it was bought wrongly from car breakers. if any body needs it please feel free to ask part   . The part number is

BRAKE SERVO PIPE 6Q2612041AL  . Thanks  raky

Thanks Lee. I suppose a missing 'executive summary' is that if you want one for a RHD mk1 Fabia, where the existing unit will have SK240DDRS as that bottom line of the label, get one that says exactly the same there, as well as the main 6Y2959802 part number.  For LHD mk1 Fabia you'll want a 6Y1959801 instead, with SK240DDLS as that line.

In both cases this only applies to later cars from approx July 2004 onwards, earlier cars will have parts with numbers starting 6Q, which have connector/wiring/functional/comms protocol differences that make them non-interchangeable.
