Fitting a Towbar

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever fitted a towbar to a Roomster? Are they an easy DIY job?

Have been quoted £276.00 for a single electric by a local company who come out to your house to fit it. Just short of £500 for a detachable version, nice but not sure it is so nice.

Thanks

Yes I had a fixed towbar with 13 pin electrics fitted about a year ago, integrated into the cars ECU, cancels reversing sensors etc. Cost around £400 inc ECU update as needed. A bit expensive I thought but that's all I found in the area. Have heard the removable panel with the detachable bar can cause problems with the paintwork in the area. I went for the very small cutout just enough for the bar to pass through the bottom of the bumper.

There's a mine of useful information on here.

Easiest way to find it - go to Skoda Roomster section and type "towbar" into the search box at the top of the page.
