Well now the weather has changed I decided I should go out and give my new to me octavia a good detail. I took my time over two days. With an extra wash because I had to use the car in between.

 

 

1. Pressure wash down.

2. Spray wheels with very cherry wheel cleaner.

3. Spray panels with iron remover (devils blood).

4. Pressure washer rinse.

5. Spray panels with AD tar remover.

6. Rinse.

7. Snow foam 

8. Rinse

9. Wash with lambswool mitt and megs gold class shampoo.

10.Rinse.

11. Clay with Farecla Clay mitt using Megs gold glass.

12. Rinse.

13. Dry with drying towels.

14. Polish with Scholl S17+ and an orange / finishing pad inspecting the panels as I go.

15. Wipe down with AD wax off.

16. Apply Fusso soft 99.

17. Buff to a deep shine.

18. Top with sonax BSD.

19. Clean windows with AD window cleaner.

20. Clean wheels with Sonax BSD.

21. Dress tyres with Megs endurance.

AS NM says - you could tweak the order a little on decon stage; otherwise fine.

 

How did you find Fusso? Some people have struggled with it.

It's only an opinion

If there is a definitive answer its to expose the paintwork better before you de ironise

Of course, no problem. tar can hide over iron, but not the other way around. So by removing the tar you are guaranteed to expose all iron contamination.
