Brake light delay

Featured Replies

Perhaps Skoda introduced this as a safety feature but I have noticed that my brake lights show when I have touched the brake pedal but not applied the brakes. This gives a few seconds warning of my intentions to following drivers. Likewise, when I release the brake pedal the lights are still on for a second or two after I have released the pedal. This explains why when stopped at lights, I pull away and leave quite a gap from the following vehicle. If it is a design intention, well done Skoda.

Same on the Monte, it is by design apparently.
