Cambelt and water pump change schedule

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me the schedule in terms of years & miles.

Cheers

70k or 4 years

As above. If you do alot of motor way miles

If you do more town journeys short stop start journeys.then 50 id say.

Some ppl will tell you the belts are goid for 100k but its usually the pulleys idelers that give up 1st

60k or 4 years

As #4, and advisories from Lummox, now AFAIK , Tech1e .Search the Fabia posts.

UK service book says 60k

Euro service book says 75k

Skoda dealer in ELY told me they were good up to 80k

I changed mine at 80k. Didn't look/feel like it was gonna fail too soon. The harder you drive it, the sooner you should do it.

mine had its second change yesterday at 101,000 miles, just to keep her tip-top! Had an interim service too as not long purchased so had the once over done

Just changed my belt and pump at 8 yrs even though mileage is only 57k.

First on mine was 68k from dealer at 2006 then was done by me at a 172k in 2014

I thought the book says 40k or 4 years, TBH I did mine at around 60k when it was about 5 years old.
