  • Had a laugh to myself about this, remember changing the interior on my lupo in the dark. Let's just say my passenger and drivers seats didn't look right. Both in the wrong place, all bolted in and rea

  • I agree with the remap, H&R lowering springs and rear antiroll bar too. Changes into a different car like it should have been from factory. Clean car looks good in red. Looking forward to seeing

What sort of power did you have and what did it remap to btw?

The guy reckons 150? and had to go back twice because of some issues and it hasnt been on a rolling road yet so no idea really although brilliant compared to the stock 75. The ones of these if seen that have been on rollers range from 130/145ish

Hoping to get a it on rollers somewhere local but thinking of doing the intercooler 1st

Very nice! Any other modifications done power wise?

Mines the 75bhp version and I've got...

- Custom 3" cold air feed

- K&N cone in a box filter

- Garrett CR177 Turbo (stock 180bhp)

- Uprated alloy Audi S3 intercooler

- Darkside pipe kit

- DPF/EGR/Cat delete

- Mufflerectomy VRS backbox

Yet to get it remapped, it's getting a new clutch and flywheel in a week or so then hope for around 210bhp or so.

What miles does yours have btw? Just with the state of that EGR pipe I don't expect the dpf to be great and the clutch to have some miles on, so issues on yours?

Thats an impressive mod list mate!

Its on 70k its 61plate the guy I got it off did a lot of motorway miles in its first three years and I only use it on the weekend really which is usually up and down dual carriageways supermarket fuels probably at fault lol, I keep track of dpf soot loading using vag dpf app so ifi it needs a run ill find somewhere to go to clear it although it normally takes care of itself

Similar to mine also then, mine did a lot of miles in the first few years. Mines a 61 plate just clicked over 60,000. Just had to replace all four glow plugs since 3 of them had failed resulting in poor starting on cold mornings

Be very interested to see the outcome of the remap of this ! Even though it's not mapped does it feel any different with all these modifications?

Don't know anyone els with what I've done but similar (kept exhaust, dpf, EGR, cat, smaller turbo) have remapped to around 190bhp and of course the 1.6 yeti with basically the same dynod at 208bhp.

It does drive different yeah, it definitely pulls stronger but nothing crazy. However the turbo isn't fitted yet as I don't want to drive it without a remap so I'll pop it on when the clutch is done and get the car shipped to my mapper

Great thread this. Give me some ideas for mine if all goes well this Saturday.
