I have, it's located behind the nearside fog/DRL cluster.

What are you swapping it to? A twin tone?

I'm wanting to change the horn on my monte it sounds like a noddy car!

If anyone has a part number for the vrs horn that would be great

I used a bosch ec9 it's much better. Certainly recommend it as a replacement 2 tone.

is it easy enough to change

It's a little fiddly for space but I did it in less than 30mins. Just have to be a bit creative with positioning the snail horns as space is limited and I made up my own wiring loom as I didn't want to cut any of the original wires from the block connector.

thanks can you tell me hows best to get to it

I did it by taking the n/s fog light out and going from there, when I needed to support the bracket to tighten the nut that holds the snails to the body I reached in through the space next to the gig light and just reached with my finger tips

Is it worth it?

I mean, how often do you use your horn?

A prolonged beep sounds angry whatever it sounds like haha

Id say its worth it the noddy horn is terrible lol

Leaves me wondering if the monte has a different horn haha.

I have to agree, it is a wimpy little horn. Almost embarrassing to use it  :D

i noticed my 13 plate monte had a really wimpy horn, my 62 plate vrs horn is completely different and more meaty,

Ahh maybe it is just a monty thing then.

My 13 plate SE isnt bad. Never noticed it sounding feable haha

They must have fitted a meatier horn in my Facelift Greenie... Sounds quite BIG and purposeful... not like the noddy/clown horn in my Wife's Poverty Spec Flabby... :D

Any chance of whipping the passengers side fog light out and getting a pic of the part number ?

I've only got a blank in mine, no fogs. So might be easier?

How does it come out?

My GL2 horn sounds terribly weedy .... Mk1 VRS horn was great.

there must be different ones.

my SE sounds fine. Similar to my Transporter infact

My horn is quite impressive!

Mines too embarrassing to use in public  It sounds like Mr. Toad is coming - Pooop Pooop!

It does work well for scaring pheasants away on back roads though  :D

Cant be as bad as the mk1 Fab i had as a courtesy car today.

That horn was feeble :D

The Stebel Nautilus or Freeway Blasters are horns with an oomph! :)

They do however demand a relay and a separate feed as they need about 10 A, but thats an easy job on the MKII.

I'm still going to stick by my Bosch EC9 it's never let me down
