Anyone with any suggestions here? I have a metallic grey estate. Have mudflaps on front wheels, but not on rear wheels. They are installed to prevent damage to paint. Is this necessary on rear wheels too? Any experiences?

 

On previous cars I've had without them over Tim the edge of the bumper has lost all its paint. So I'm now waiting for a set from super skoda as there way cheaper from them than from main dealers

I've got a candy white VRS hatch, and have front and rear mud flaps, I cannot believe how much they help in keeping the side of the car clean. Even fine dust kicked up by the tyres will erode paint over time, so fit those mud flaps, and also consider the clear plastic film they fit to some models to protect wing and sill paint.

Put them on they are effective.

Stops stone chips on paintwork behind the wheels and reduces some dirt.

You really notice the difference on Aussie dirt roads so will help in Brit roadwork zones

I've always had mudflaps fitted to my previous cars, but when I ordered my vRS (delivered Nov 2014) the dealer told me mudflaps weren't available for the vRS. I've just looked on Superskoda and the Octavia 3 mudflaps are stated to be OEM, but not suitable for vRS or Scout. Do you have a part number, please?

The own ones from super skoda, main dealer or skodadop do fit. I will be fitting mine hopefully this weekend

Strange, the mudflaps were already fitted when I bought the car in Feb this year. No part number sorry.

Ive just purchased front and rear mudflaps for my oct 14 rs. I havent fitted them yet, but ill take pics before and after.

Had the before and after experience with none, then all 4 fitted. Much better fitted
