Finally got my meteor grey vrs estate today, I'm made up with it but the dealer has put a SmartGate instruction manual in the car pack but my car doesn't seem to have it!

I think that's an option you need to spec.

Does the manual show a 6.5" bolero unit?

I thought so I'm hoping it can be retro fitted! No it's a basic manual to tell you how to connect your phone to the SmartGate

I got the same manual. Its probably just a standard addon manual instead of printing the whole manual just to add a few pages.

Any chance of someone uploading a scan of the manual addition?

No, it is an additional wireless module under the drivers seat that connects to the CAN Gateway with 5 wires.

It's in the octavia manual and I've also got an additional SmartGate instruction manual if I get chance I'll try and scan the manual.

It is only in the Octavia manual from MY2015.5 onwards (October 2014).

 

I was more interested in the manual addition they are now distributing - I have the install and operating instructions from last October/November, but WiFi Direct wasn't available then, and is now if you update the firmware on the SmartGate.

It's a £100 option for MY16 cars. Trying to get my dealer to add it to my new order.

It has been available since MY2015.5, November 2014 onwards.

Unless I gave missed it, I can't see it on the configurator nor the latest brochure??

It never has been, you have to ask your dealer to add it to the order. My car was built 2 weeks before the 2015.5MY change so it couldn't be added without delaying my order and then the p/ex would have been reduced in value, so I've retrofitted it.

Yep, for some unknown reason they never listed it as an option in the brochure BUT the dealers were notified last October that it was available.

If you have a dealer that takes an interest in the products they are selling they might mention it to you. One that doesn't give a monkeys though ........
