A dpf question

Featured Replies

I did that before I bought my car as there wasnt a service book (risky I know).

Thats the good thing with all the dealers being linked. My previous car, Civic VTI-S, I bought a service book off ebay and went to my local honda dealer who stamped it up until its last Honda service

The previous owner said it'd been done but no sticker or note in the book. He said that the car had went into limp though it didnt cut out. He was a genuine bloke so i shouldn't really doubt him it's just peace of mind I'm off on holiday soon.

A quick update on my injector question. Skoda uk strangely couldn't help but my local dealer confirmed the work definately has been done. So even though it has no sticker in the boot or a note in the service book it's been done. Weight off mind!!

In general I would say sont change gear too soon, and keep the revs up after sitting in traffic.

Bloody typical (tempted fate) had it came on this evening just before pulling into Bridport Morrisons (weekly treat of Ben & Jerry's, I lead a rock and roll lifestyle :nerd: ). Luckily the Bridport/Weymouth coast road is only a short distance away so the car went for an 'Italian tune up' :p . If anyone knows the road I had the DPF light off before I got to Burton Bradstock. :D . None of this driving along at 2k for 10 minutes b****x.

The time it takes for the light to go off is dependent on the soot load and condition of the DPF rather than your favoured method of generating heat  :D

Thats a good fun road, good choise
