fabia reaction advice please

Ah Arnold Clark. that explains a lot.   That will have been according to the Sales Person, not actually Arnold himself,  he will be a bit busy managing thousands of Dealership & managing his Billions.

Always ask them to put anything they say in writing.

Sometimes you know when they lie,  their lips move.

Lady Owner  / Registered Keeper could have a Driving School, or be the Lady sitting at Service Desk in their very Dealership.

1 Registered Keeper does not mean 1 driver.

Put a strip of coloured tape down each side, OR, up over the bonnet + roof + down the tailgate to break-up the blandness?

Cheap and cheerful and easily removed if you don't like !

Is it the one for sale at Arnold Clark Dumbarton,  SH63 XUG ?

I think the one advertised at Arnold Clark Linwood with the higher miles will be the one i knew someone had Leased from Motability and returned early

and disappointed having thought it looked Sporty would be Sporty and suitable for keeping up with Modern Traffic around and about Glasgow.

(Edit, i see SH63 XUG now on the Autorader Link  post #6, with 1,891 miles & £7,000 asking price.

so they are going to have to drop that price,  and settle on making their money on the Finance.)

Yeah its that one, but parkers value is 6k from a dealer, i keep forgetting its not a monte. i dont rate arnold clark anyway but they said woman part exed car, They havent mentioned dropping price i cant seem them going to 6k, the concern is warranty might not be valid email skoda they useless said unsure?

The Warranty should be Valid,  the car has only done 3,000 Miles,  Arnold Clark are VAT Registered, even Skoda Franchised Dealers at some sites.

The not Serviced at 372 Days or before after being First Registered should not Invalidate the Original Warranty.

Skoda UK  HQ them selves are not that hot on Service Schedules / Guidelines.

They tend to not know what their Guidelines are, UK vs other Countries, or VWG Vehicles with identical engines.

But then the car is too expensive at £7,000 if a 13 Plate.

They are not the Biggest Used Car Company in Europe by offering to drop a Asking Price,   you need to ask them to be real, and get real.

I thought I would mention, get them to throw in a spare wheel as part of the deal.

Don't be afraid to haggle with them either. There is no harm in asking.

As mentioned, the drums on the Fabias rust quite quickly, don't be put off by them. You can easily paint with some hammerite.

I have drums on the back of my Monte 62 plate and they do rust. I'd not be too concerned.

I don't like the look of the Reactions- in theory it should have been the car I bought. They had just come out when I bought my used Monte Carlo for £1000 more but the meteor grey with black lights and roof doesn't look right to me. And now I own a meteor grey VRS- although it has a grey roof and silver lights, which looks much better. However if she likes the look of it, other than the price being a bit steep, I see no reason why she shouldn't go for it. They were a new car on a good deal so a few pensioners may well have ended up with them and not used them a lot.

Could well have been owned by an old dear who either gave up driving or snuffed it, hence the low mileage and why it was sold to a dealer by family who couldn't be bothered with the hassle of selling it for a bit more privately. I suspect AC will be making a hefty mark up on something they basically just had to wash before putting it back up for sale. With regards to the warranty, it will not be invalid. The dealer who I got mine from said as long as the first service was within 2 years of the car being registered it would be fine.

well I emailed dealer back to say interested but not at that price, he aint got back so maybe its sold but I don't want to pay over the odds for it

On road today saw a fabia similar colour but it looked a darker shad of grey

The darker shades would possibly be a metallic.

I do not know of another Solid Grey on a MK2 other than Meteor Grey.
