I've decided to try Simbo's Ebay seller to get a replacement unit, I guess I'll just have to wait & see if there's any problems.

has anyone got a dash camera that has survived a years usage? ive come to the conclusion the majority are cheap and troublesome, having read many dash cam reviews on many web sites the lifespan seems very limited indeed.

 

the new e prance 0805 I got to replace the faulty e prance 0801, has too had to be returned due to a fault after 3 days useage

I had to return two 0805's for refund, both of which overheated and failed after less than two days. Did more research, particularly through Car Camera Warehouse, and bought a Hewlett Packard f800g, admittedly more expensive but is superb. Can highly recommend CCW - Mark Waddington went out of his way to resolve some minor problems, even coming over from Manchester and meeting me near Sheffield to sort them out.

Had our 0805 for five months and not a single issue to date. First one was faulty (out of focus on the left) which I returned and the 2nd unit is perfect. Oh yes, purchased from Amazon....
