Car mats

Featured Replies

Hi all does anyone know where i can get some half decent car mats for my 1.9 2005 elegance auto estate ?

Genuine mats were not that expensive when I purchased about 5 years ago. Plus you get the clips that hold the fronts in place.

I'd always go genuine. Although I've used mrcatmats before and they've always been good with a bunch of different options

There don't seem to be any clips on my car to hold mats down.

I bought a set of these mats at £19.99

Then I bought some of the clips from Skoda for 24p each. You only need 4, as there are 2 on each front mat. :)

I really can't fault the mats, especially for the price.

They also do rubber mats for £26.

A genuine set of Octavia mats is £56. For me it wasn't worth more than 2x the price.

I picked up a decent (and nicely discounted) set from ECP a while back.  Front ones (at least the drivers side) had the proper mounting clips too.

According to the invoice they were "Sakura Fully Tailored Mat Set Tailored Car Mats" for the grand total of £17.04  Link

Hi are these the correct ones for me as i can't see any clips in my car to hold down the mats ? Maybe there are sets that don't have clips ?

Are the holes where the mats fix down hidden as i can't see them in my car ?

I don't have any either but my car is a very low spec one. I guessed it was something else omitted at the factory. My mats have the holes and don't move at all so no big deal.

The clips are a few pence and simply screw in

I don't think I have any holes to screw them into. I did look but couldn't find anything.

There are no holes, they screw through the carpet

That would explain it :)
