More vent designs to follow, but I'm liking these more than the Focus ST ones (these are off a supercharger Jaguar)

  Sorry, just my opinion though, as you asked.

Do It, Do it, Do it, Do it Do It, Do it, Do it, Do it Do It, Do it, Do it, Do it Do It, Do it, Do it, Do it Do It, Do it, Do it, Do it Do It, Do it, Do it, Do it

Go on, Do it

So I guess you think I should do it then?

This feels a bit similar to when the wife asks me if she looks nice in her new outfit that doesn't actually suit her.

Being a honest person the answer is NO.

That's NO to the wife and NO to the vents.

It's a no from me too, but hey, it's your car!

Looks dire IMO, but I don't have to drive it.

?

Are you going to cut the bonnet, fit them and seal them up to stop the engine compartment getting wet.

or have water traps and pipes to run the H20 away.?

Polo r- WRC Vents.

I now have a spare bonnet, so the idea was to cut the spare and see how it looks once fitted, sealed and painted black and then make a decision then (the vents only cost £21 so 'm not fussed either way), this cheaper then other options.

That is kind of what i am asking, is it for the cosmetic look, style over function,

or do you want them to be functional letting Air / cooling in, heat out for cooling

or are they getting fitted and let no air or water in when the car is parked up in the rain, snow falling on the bonnet.?

More for cosmetic but they will could have the function of hear dissipation, once fitted the internal part with have a very fine mesh  on the inside of the bonnet. the mesh should let the air out but very little water?. Either way I would lose anything as it would be the spare bonnet, so if it really did look pants I'll but the standard part back on. Bearing in mind the car is getting wrapped a completely different colour it should look different than the red.

I suspect a lot of wind noise

Looks terrible, with those vents fitted it would look like it would to be burned out so no one ileitis have to endure looking at it.

If it's a spare bonnet then I say go for it you don't have much to lose if it's done right it can look ok and at worse you can guarantee some young'un will buy it on ebay.

Looks horrendous IMO.

When there is no function to them they look naff. IF they were genuinely feeding cold air directly to a hige turbo or something to make it go faster, then you may get away with it. But not when its only forthe sake of it.. car end up looking like a halfords crash victim...

You'll need some of these to match  :sun:

I'm changing just the red, all the black will stay the same

Your car, your rules. If you like it, do it. If you're not sure, don't do it. I have just had a conversation with my wife about my missing front bumper on the Mk1 Escort, she doesn't like it. My car, my rules, it stays off.
