Hi everyone!

 

I've had a license for 8 years but always used rental cars, I'm a maths teacher, a pirate magician at birthday parties, festivals and educational workshops in schools andddd my girlfriend and I have recently started a wedding business.

 

So I'm looking for my first car, with a lot of boot space and cheap to insure (Manchester insurance prices are painfully high) 

 

Skoda seems to tick the boxes!

 

I'm trying to get a second hand Fabia or Octavia but haven't decided which one yet, I was hoping I could get some advice from people who know their stuff!

 

I'm looking to get one from up to 2005, with less than 100,000 on the clock, autotrader is showing me lots in the range of £800 - £3000 in this age/mileage range....

 

I was hoping some of you could tell me how your Fabia/Octavia is handling after 5-10 years and how much you've had to pay for repairs in that time?
